A. Depository Libraries
The World Bank's Depository Library Program is one of the key elements in its publication strategy. As the world's largest development institution, the World Bank undertakes large projects of research, analysis, and data gathering. The dissemination of that research is a necessary part of the Bank's objectives. The libraries listed in this directory have all agreed to work with the World Bank as active partners in the dissemination of Bank materials by promoting them and encouraging their use among different groups of leaders.

B. Local Distributors

Customers outside the United States may place their orders through their local distributor. Customers benefit because their orders can be processed quickly and their purchases can be made in local currency. They also avoid the additional shipping and handling charges that can considerably increase the cost of direct orders from the United States.

In order to provide efficient service at a fair local price, the World Bank has established special local pricing agreements with distributors in many non-OECD countries at levels of at least 50% off the U.S. list prices. For more information, please contact your local distributor listed below.
