The Third Tamil Nadu Urban Development Project for India aims at improving the delivery of urban services through enhancing the quality of urban infrastructure and strengthening the institutional and financial framework. The Project will consist of two complementary components: Component 1) will provide support for management improvements and institutional changes, including provision of goods, technical assistance, workshops, and staff training to support the implementation and sustainability of urban policy reforms, organizational performance, and urban services delivery. Component 2) will aim at developing sustainable urban investments such as water supply, waste water collection, solid waste management, storm water drains, roads and common facilities such as transportation networks, and sanitation facilities, based on demand driven investment plans developed by Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).**
